A NEW WAY to reach women in crisis at the

Lighthouse of HOPE at Off-Broadway

As we face emergency situations with homeless women and their children, we will be able to temporarily meet their housing needs while we help connect them to social and faith based services.

The Lighthouse of Hope is a "Home" being restored by a city of people who have declared war against HUNGER! This home promises to be the safe harbor we have prayed for.

This is not a treatment center, but rather a Home built on the solid foundation, Jesus Christ; to welcome homeless women caught in the cold for a short stay while we link them with services to relocate them into housing!

Our VISION is to resurrect hope and new beginnings in the community as we help facilitate the "model home" anchored on the Rock, Jesus Christ. The home would become a training center to teach life long skills to women so they could teach others how to create a healthy home. Beauty from ashes!

HOW: Through those called to Lead or Follow

In order to accomplish this "vision" we knew that only God could move the players into place. We knew that without His leadership we are only empty vessels sailing recklessly through a neighborhood known as evil and full of BAD dubbed Felony Flats! Lead, Follow, or get out of the way, the Lord's Army is on its way.

NEEDS: Dedicated workers!

The harvest is ripe and the workers are few. Let's defy the BAD NEWS of a falling economy. Let's come together and work side by side, kicking down the doors of fear that hold us captive from experiencing the JOY that has been prepared for all of us! This is NOT an OFF-BROADWAY house, it is a "Home" being built by a city who has declared war against HUNGER! Hunger no more physically or spiritually for God is showing us the way! ALL you need is a heart to serve and a desire to come!

Help us create the first Women's Lighthouse of HOPE and HOME at 2008 SHARP! You are not obligated in any way to step out and to serve. Come in the name of His love IF you have a heart to serve! We are His simple Christians, Under Maintenance at OBFO (God's united WAY), who place the needs before you. Come and see what the Lord is doing through His people as we march forward, showing the world what an EXTREME MAKEOVER looks like from God's perspective!

One Nation, under God, united to serve one another; we will see this HOUSE become the first of many to come HOMES built on the love of people like you and me. Truly, just like Fred at OBFO said, "People helping people. It's a God thing!"
