Larry
Larry - Still Free
A man makes a choice to commit a sin — more accurately, to live a life of sinning; he comes to the end of himself, then in a desperate act of selfishness, although convincing himself of honorable intentions, attempts to take his own life. Having twice failed, he ends up at a mission where he encounters for the first time the absolutely pure and Holy love of Jesus Christ.

Surrendering to the only One able to do something about his previous condition, he makes the most important decision of his life; receiving Jesus as, not only the Savior of his soul; but also, as Lord of his life. Following the lead of the Holy Ghost moving in and through him, he turns his life over to the authorities to face his well deserved discipline with penalties incurred of six-years in the Washington State prison system.

School begins with many lessons learned:
  • Hanging by a thread, his very life is measured in direct proportion to his growing ability to hear and react upon the voice of the Spirit.
  • Discovering a balance between spending time with God, (soaking his spirit with Him by developing a relationship with Him in both prayer and in His Word.) and sharing the message of Hope with others all around him.
  • Surrendering his life and the core of his being, to live a life of worship and integrity; though to do so compels him oftentimes to become vulnerable before dishonest men of ruthless character.
  • Becoming instant in prayer, obedience, and worship at all times, trusting God to accomplish His perfect and absolute will. Believing that Good will come, Love will conquer, and that God will succeed where it is impossible for mankind to find success.
  • Yielding to the truth that there is good to be found in all mankind. Believing that in Jesus Christ darkness truly can be turned into light, His Light, the only Light that matters!
  • Becoming a vessel through which the Holy Spirit is able to flow into the lives of others. A vessel who is filled with the very nature of God who has called him into His service.
Having accepted two significant truths, that: 1) The gifts and calling of God are without repentance (Romans 11:29), and 2) that a man's gifts make room for him and bring him before great men (Proverb 18:16) he leaves the prison system prepared for battle. However, what he discovers in the Church at large gives birth to a severely disillusioned and troubling spirit.

Though there are certainly exceptions, it appears that the Church has fallen asleep. And, instead of availing itself to fighting the battle, the Church has almost completely given itself over to complacency, while the enemies of our Lord easily wreak havoc with very little barriers.

In His all-knowing, God prepares the way by sending him a 'Sand-writer' (one who, like Jesus, stands in the way of accusation and condemnation, by writing in the sand). Through this individual a marvelous friendship is born; and, a help-mate is gained to enter into the battlefront of God's purpose.

Together We Stand
Almost immediately, the enemy makes his attack against the two; using well meaning soldiers in God's very own army, he calls what God has done an unhealthy thing. After having almost succumbed to the enemy's attack, the two set out to follow God wherever He may lead.

Not knowing what else to do, the man and his helpmeet turn to the streets. With nothing more than a heart filled with compassion, and a troubled faith, they begin to enter the front lines of battle. Here their lessons are reinforced. Once again their lives have meaning and purpose. No longer can they afford the luxury of a complacent lifestyle. They are on the fray again. Their lives are once again at risk. Instead of complaining, they surrender to the anointing and calling of their Master. And, God shows Himself strong with a mighty move of His Spirit. Lives are changed!

Soon, the man is called upon to give an account for his actions by the local Spiritual Authority structure in Spokane, Washington where he lives. Upon presenting himself and submitting to their authority, something quite unexpected is given birth. The men who make up the Spiritual Authority, call him forward, lay hands upon him, anoint him with oil, and send him forth as one called to a particular task! Here, they are joined by others soldiers of like passion. Together, they continue in the fray of battle, and discover that God is doing marvelous things in their midst! Allowing them to take part in what He is doing, they become a valuable tool in His hands.

This is Off-Broadway! Nothing more, and nothing less! God Honored people attending to that part in which He Himself has assigned. It is a battle we cannot fail, because having begun in Love, which represents God Himself, we continue in the very selfsame love which Scriptures teach simply cannot fail!
